Fire keeps its own memory. It remembers every body it has ever touched, every shape it has helped to end and begin again. In Đurović’s round canvas, the phoenix rises from that memory—half woman, half bird, half something older than either.
Around her, the beasts gather. A blue wolf watches from below, jaws open, patient. Dark wings rise on the left, red feathers burn on the right. This is the hour when destruction and renewal share the same breath.
The circle has no exit. It turns, the way fire turns, the way life turns—always returning, always beginning, always burning toward its own rebirth.
