The moon keeps a cloud the way the mind keeps a memory—somewhere between the water and the air, between what is seen and what is only sensed. In Đurović’s canvas, a winged figure sits at the upper edge of the world, holding something small and bright, while below, a woman stands inside the trunk of a tree that has grown into stone.
Between them, a pale spiral floats upward like breath released in cold water. Nothing here belongs to one element alone. Everything is partly light, partly root, partly the quiet that comes after a name is spoken and forgotten.
This is the moon cloud: a place where the sky rests, and the deep keeps its own counsel.
