Night has its own birds, and they do not sing. They watch. In Đurović’s drawing, they gather around a pale figure who stands at the centre of the dark—owls, round moons, shapes that are part feather and part thought.
Above her, a woman with a crown of black hair holds a small flame. Below, spirals turn into waves, waves turn into wings, and wings turn into something that has no name in any language spoken under the sun.
