Transformation has a temperature. In Đurović’s triptych, it is cold first, then burning, then cool again—three panels, three states of the same becoming. The butterfly is barely visible here; what we see is the cocoon from the inside, the moment when the old shape loosens but the new one is still a rumour.
This is not a painting about arrival. It is a painting about the long, strange hours in between.
