The moon pulls, and she follows—not with purpose, but with the drift of one who has surrendered to a force she cannot name. Her body moves through silver light as though it had forgotten it was made of weight.
Her face is pale, her eyes calm and still. Her hair rises like mist, white and luminous, catching a light that does not come from the sky. Below, her body dissolves into water and thorns—not a threat, but a crown, the beauty that cannot be separated from the wound.
In Moonwalking, Željko Đurović lets the painting drift, as she drifts, through the space between what is and what is remembered. The moon does not guide her. It accompanies her, offering its cold light as permission to continue.
