A wall keeps two worlds apart and lets them meet at the same time. In Beneath the Wall, Željko Đurović lets brick and bone share the same frame—faces emerge from the stone, figures drift behind a thin transparent door, an old man sits inside his own quiet square of light.
On the left, a horned creature bends toward something invisible. On the right, a woman reaches into an archway filled with sky. Between them, the wall holds everything in place: the dreamers, the watchers, the ones who have already crossed.
This is the threshold hour—when the wall becomes a door, and the door becomes a question the eye can walk through.
