A diva is a woman who has learned to carry her own audience. In Đurović’s tall canvas, she stands alone in a field of quiet symbols—letters in the corners, a spiral in the stone, small creatures watching from the margins. Her hair falls the length of the frame, black water pouring into a garden that blooms inside her own body.
She wears no crown. She needs none. The flowers rising from her skin are the only ornaments she has ever required.
This is the diva as the painter imagines her: not a performer on a stage, but a presence at the centre of her own world, patient and unafraid.
